Do you remember how cable TV looked going back 20 years? This article is going to take a look at some of the biggest differences in cable TV, comparing what we have today with what we had back then.
Back then, most channels where part of a network that specialized on a particular niche subject. If you were interested in watching a particular topic of program then all you had to do as switch to that network and find the particular channel interesting to you.
Back then, both Bravo and A&E focused specifically on the fine arts and every show they aired was on that subject area. However, when you take a look at these channels today, they have begun to show things outside of the niche subject area and have started to show reality TV.

They are now showing so many reality TV shows that you might not even recognize what channel you are tuned into if you had to guess. Shows such as Rock of Love and MTV’s Jersey Shore dominate the program schedule.
